On 22 May, part of the Puente del Ea team travelled to the Basque Country to present the Puente del Ea range of wines and to present our wines to journalists specialising in food and wine.
The press lunch took place at the prestigious Restaurante Serantes, in the heart of Bilbao. The reception was very good. The dishes, together with our wines, were exquisite and a pleasant and relaxed debate was created in which we were able to tell the story of our winery, bringing a part of the essence of Rioja Alta to the capital of Bizkaia.
The menu consisted of the following pairings:
- Lobster salad harmonised with Saiaz Rosado de Puente del Ea.
- Pan-fried scallops with Obar de Puente del Ea.
- Mushrooms with foie accompanied by Saiaz de Puente del Ea.
- Iberian pork cheek in its own juice, which went perfectly with Coraz de Puente del Ea.
- And for dessert a chocolate coulant with our limited edition Coraz Finca la Esclavitud.
