Les Grands Blancs reflects the terroir of the house, which extends over eight hectares in the villages of Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger. Two Grand Crus terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, famous for their Chardonnay, which produce compact wines of exceptional finesse.
The grapes are harvested when very ripe, in order to obtain frank and expressive aromas, while maintaining great freshness. They are pressed in a traditional press. The wines are left to rest and blended the next day. They are aged in oak barrels of 228 litres. Malolactic fermentation takes place. They are bottled at the beginning of May and then spend 3 years in the cellar, where they undergo a second fermentation and develop their aromas.
The cuvée has a very low dosage (between 2 and 3 g/l), which allows the wine and the terroir to express themselves to the full.
Contains sulphites.
TASTING NOTES
This is a champagne full of freshness, with that touch of delicacy and complexity that distinguishes the great cuvées. Its finesse and impressive minerality make it ideal as an aperitif or with food, with citrus and almond notes in perfect harmony.
FOOD PAIRING
Perfect as an aperitif or to start a meal with a cold starter. It goes well with cheese, cured meats, fish and seafood, nuts, foie gras and creams, and desserts.
